Me
Professionally, I come from a non-technical background. I majored in Finance and Economics, then worked in the financial sector for over ten years. Now I've pivoted into cybersecurity, with a strong interest in OSINT, CTI and forensics.
Personally, I enjoy a number of hobbies and activities, including birdwatching, growing things, landscape design, plant propagation and other stuff. I also hunt for and collect glass bottles and other relics.
About this site
Wanting a space of my own creation, I spent a ridiculous amount of time testing out various static site generators and got nowhere. Then I discovered Astro, spent an equally ridiculous amount of time learning the framework and playing around with design, but also really enjoyed the process. It's finally 'good enough' and I can start writing. There are no style frameworks like Tailwind, etc. just vanilla CSS, which is really fun, especially with Astro's scoped styling.
I am not a developer or a designer. This site is a hobby and imperfect in how it looks, works, and feels.
It's purpose is to provide:
- Content related to cybersecurity topics, projects and activities.
- Other posts on a variety of things.
- Short-form notes, thoughts and ideas.
- A playground for experimentation with design and functionality.
You may sometimes find:
- Evolving designs and "features" that seem out of place and don't fit 'standards'.
- Something broken.
DISCLAIMER!!! This site is home-grown, built from scratch on trial and error, curiosity, frustration, inspiration and a desire to create something of my own. There are no "best practices" or optimizations just yet. I have a lot of ideas, and will continue make adjustments as I go. This is my space to share with probably no one, and to have fun, experiment and play, so glitches, incomplete content and odd features might show up occassionally.
